After more than 15 years of failed treatment centers, an array of specialized therapists, programs, incorrect diagnoses and near-death experiences, we were introduced to L.I.F.E Interventions. It was a game changer. They not only saved our son’s life, but restored our family to what it once was.
L.I.F.E Interventions came in and took over. They first made sure our son was safe and then they did what few others every did: they begin by actually listening; really listening. Equally important they took the time to really see my son, “see all of him” and not just define him by his past history and challenges. They showed him respect and dignity and made him feel a part of their team working on his behalf, rather than a villain. Only then did they begin to customize a short and long-term plan for him, letting us all know that it was flexible depending on progress and what was yet to be uncovered. Their ability to listen, act and pivot, was unmatched to any other help we had encountered before.
L.I.F.E. then became the day-to-day contact with our son, his treatment providers and they reported to us, taking the onerous task off us, the family, so we can just be the parents, siblings and simply enjoy typical family dynamics. We no longer traced his finances, had meetings with doctors, therapists, asked about jobs, etc. We were set free and our son was being well taken care of for the first time. We experienced real progress. No, it wasn’t always easy and it wasn’t always smooth sailing, but those hurdles were handled by L.I.F.E. We were out of the fray.
